VW paid for the car as of a certain date. The owner should deliver the car in as near as possible the condition it was in on that date.

tell the responsible adult in you that the beer-drinking robot only appears when the car is in Drift Mode. The other 99.5% of the time you will probably be in Normal or Sport Mode. The robot only plays checkers and tells moderately offensive jokes in those modes.
