I’m in TN too. Definitely lots of sketchy roads in the mountains and plateau. Hell, even I24 on Monteagle has a constant stench of cooking brakes.

Not talking about jackknifing though, talking about brakes overheating, which in a box truck, can be done rather easily if not paying attention. Most box trucks can weigh between 26k - 33k lbs fully loaded, which is still pretty damn heavy.
Never understood why people just won’t use the correct gear and pulse brake. I see trucks riding their brakes all the time like it’s their first time to go down a hill. I mean there are signs all over letting you know. I came down a plateau today with 14,000 lbs of batteries in a box truck and never had to touch the…
There’s nothing a white man can say in defense against “you’re a racist” that people won’t say is bullshit. If it exists, I’ve never seen it.
That rebound setting...dayum. It took half the jump for the rear wheels to even come down.
dont worrie about it... my accent is damn near irish (noone can ever quite place it.. but irish is what im usually accused off )
huh.. that pov was surprisingly tame and gentle.....suspension on those trucks must be awesome..
Got corgi’s on this end of the internet... they’re also excellent “talkers...”
I swear, sometimes, I get this feeling that the dogs in our neighborhood (including my own) are actually gossiping whenever they bark at each other.
I also have a Shepard/Husky mix that loves to talk to my wife.
To arrive at this conclusion, Andics and his team trained 13 dogs to lay completely motionless in a fMRI brain scanner.
Good talking with you. Nothing like talking a little old school Winston Cup on a Sunday. I had flashback to the good old days this afternoon watching an Elliott run up front at MIS. Have a good week.
I hear you. I was watching “Four Weddings and a Funeral” when I had my first stone. I never have seen the end of that movie!
It was a heart attack. The driver couldn’t stop the truck before his symptoms became so bad that he lost control.
True. And maybe take just a few seconds to go ahead and call 911. I know it’s not as fun, but.
“Look at him hit the medium again”!!! I had no idea there was a psychic nearby...
I will admit to just being a bitter old redneck talking shit on the Internet. Ernie was a hard charger and had Apollo astronaut sized balls. One of my favorite NASCAR moments is when Ernie popped open his fire suit to reveal the Davey Allison shirt he was wearing.
As the broadcast started, I was like “Whoa, awesome.” I also enjoyed Matchette “hosting” the streaming of the qualifying session yesterday. I thought he did a fine job. I really enjoy his and Hobb’s commentary.
We were at meet and greets thru Grand Prix Tours. (Expensive but they always deliver). This was back when ESPN was still sending them to the races to do the coverage, so we got to hang out with them at the hotel and ply David with beer while we were in England. Asked David Hobbs what he thought of Brainerd…
it was verstappen.. he pulled the exact same move on vettel a few laps later... dont think max made many friends today
