My moms oncologist, once she was diagnosed, was great. But it was her GP that kept telling her she had diabetes. When she’d ask “OK, what about this pain in my back?” He’d tell her to take the diabetes meds she didn’t need. And the pain didn’t go away. It was a 3rd shift ER doctor that figured it out.

It was really cool to see that kid in the Ferrari garage getting to meet Kimi! He looks pretty young, but a memory like that sticks with you. Hopefully his parents took plenty of pictures!

I miss my mom. She died in 2001 from pancreatic cancer. She was cool, she understood my love of cars and without her I wouldn’t have been able to buy my 1994 SVX in 1997. She helped me with the down payment, then when I got married in 1999 she handed me a check to pay off the loan.
