I vote based in large part on gun policy - because it is a very useful proxy for how much they trust the average citizen. If my government doesn’t trust me with my guns, why should I trust them with theirs?

IOW, you want to eviscerate the Second Amendment by the death of a thousand cuts...never mind that this will do absolutely nothing about the tens of millions of guns out there in the hands of criminals who dont’ care about adding one more felony to their record.
Uh, no. You can’t buy a machine gun without a lot more paperwork than a 4473, a $200 tax stamp, and the approval of your local police chief.
$2900 is cheap for what looks to be a fun car. As for the coil pack, just haul off and replace it preemptively. There are a lot worse ways to spend three large.
It goes against the prevailing leftist narrative, and so had to go.
The W124 (well, this is a C124, but let’s not quibble) was the last really overbuilt Mercedes. These are the cars that you’ll find as taxis in Arab countries with a million kilometers on them and still going strong. They really are just getting broken in at 188K miles.
Me, I would prefer an S600 in good shape to this car...but that doesn’t mean I hate the Jag. $5000 isn’t a bad deal, though the AC does give me pause. A NP for me.
My CP is based on two things:
Meh. It’s still a Flat. You can hoon it right up until it leaves you expensively stranded somewhere. 10 large is a CP.
...until it bends a rod.
I recently drove my ML250 Bluetec from southern Minnesota to Philadelphia and back. I could have done it with three fillups, one each way at the Ohio/Indiana border and one in Philadelphia itself, but I chose to do a couple more to take advantage of low prices and non-biodiesel.
Not around here, it doesn’t. It rarely even sells for as much as premium gasoline, and last week I could have filled the tank for less than regular unleaded.
Get me a truck that has the hauling capacity of my 2015 ML250 Bluetec, gets 34 MPG on the highway, and lets me go 700 miles between fuel stops, and we’ll talk. Until then, I’m keeping my diesel, and I’m really disappointed I can’t replace it with anything more than a year newer.
Meh. If I was going to spend $7500 on a luxury SUV of this vintage, I’d get the best quality ML430 I could find. This thing...well, if you want to star in some tow truck company’s videos for being a frequent flyer...
Talk about damning with faint praise...
I wonder if you can feel the body flex when you get on the power.
The W210/C209 this was based on was offered in a convertible version. I can’t comment on body rigidity, but MB did offer it that way.
Amen. The NBA and NFL get approximately zero of my interest.
Free clue: Many of us rubes out here in flyover country neither have nor particularly want to see Confederate flags.
