If they’re going to screw with the odometer to hide something, they wouldn’t have included the old one, would they? Regardless, those receipts are easy enough to validate.

The R107 isn’t so much of an all-out sports car as it is a grand tourer: sporty, but refined and comfortable and able to handle the real world with panache and fun. A wind blocker really helps with noise. The car doesn’t strike me as rough, really, certainly not the way that, say, an MG T would be. I love mine, and

The Veloster N isn’t a Ferrari, nor a convertible, and I suspect it’s a bit cozier for four.

I own a Mercedes 560SL.

I’m not a Ferrari guy. Even so, a 2+2 mid-engine three-pedal sports car convertible with lots of the expensive maintenance already done seems attractive as hell to me. NP.

If the numbers had worked, I’d have bought an ex-loaner 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLC 300 yesterday. Unfortunately, I’m a little too far underwater on what I have now.

Yeah. I had a Subaru Outback with 160 HP and 175 foot-pounds, and about the same weight. Couldn’t get out of its own way. Even a five-speed won’t help here. That car might be fine for getting around Cape Cod, but I wouldn’t take it anywhere near a freeway.

I’m a diesel fan. I’d love to have been able to buy a diesel wagon for $5K when I was shopping for inexpensive cars. But come on, folks...this thing looks like it can’t get out of its own way, even with the stick. Nice shape, but driving would be actively annoying. You can do better for $5K, CP.

Living in Minnesota, I’m not as chary of rust as most folks. Depends on where and how much it is. But this car seems reasonable for the price. Not a smoking deal, but NP enough.

I’d pay that for an SL600. Other than that...

With these cars, condition trumps mileage or rebuilt title. I’d be very interested to know why it got a rebuilt title, as a simple fender-bender when the car was old enough would cause that. The half-million miles are simply a neat statistic, at this point. Get a very thorough PPI from someone who knows the E30 well,

I have a 2015 Mercedes ML250 Bluetec and a 1987 Mercedes 560SL. Not total opposites, but definitely at different ends of the spectrum.

You mean like the Southwest Freeway?

Anyone who has one and has an unreasoning attachment to these pieces of crap.

Not at all. Anything would be a better deal at $2K, even a rusty AMC Pacer. Hell, even an Aztek. I wouldn’t wish one of these on my worst enemy.

$2K for an Explorer is CP unless it’s “I’ll give you $2K to take it off my hands”. The Explorer is an unmitigated piece of shit. My experience with one is why I’ll never again give the Ford Motor Company any of my money, even indirectly.

Not only that, but it’s a 26-year-old Mazda truck that looks like it’s trying to be a 4-door Bronco II. It’s weird, but not weird enough to be worth $7750 to anyone but a confirmed JDM fanatic like Torch.

Nice looking car, if you like that sort of thing. But this? This screams “someone else’s project” and has an unmistakable kit car vibe. 32 large??! Not just crack pipe, but crack house.

Eh, beater with a heater. $2100 isn’t a terrible price as long as you understand it’s not a car to go out and do crazy things in. NP.

Exactly right. Assuming good PPI, this one’s a NP. Low miles, well equipped, desirable model, close to fuck-it money for a Porsche.
