Related: I fucking HATE when I’m in my car at a stop light and a pedestrian walks up to the intersection, pushes the crosswalk button, and then immediately proceeds to jaywalk across the intersection anyways. And then of course, the traffic lights in all four directions turn red and the crosswalk signal turns to

It does, I know the 2018 Mazda3 (last year of previous gen) I bought came with it, and the Mazda site implies that it now comes standard.

People then: “Why do they only offer manuals in the base model? People who are buying manuals these days are doing it because they want it, not because they want the cheap-o model!!”

Cool, I was 1 year old when this happened.

I like the idea, though I have to wonder how the cars’ security systems react to all the jostling around as it’s getting moved when it thinks its “parked”. Granted, I’m sure it’s slow speeds in a relatively smooth parking lot, but when even fireworks can set off car alarms, I can’t see how this wouldn’t as well?

Pretty much a copy/paste from another reply, but...

They are adjustable (like in your pic), but no matter where I have it, the rain sensor (for whatever reason) thinks it has to be consistently wiping with no pause in between. At least that’s how it is in misty/drizzly weather, which imo is the only time rain sensing wipers are a benefit. Maybe other makes have a

TBH I hated the rain sensing wipers on my Mazda3 (I assume that’s what SadTrombonez meant by “automatic windshield wipers”). They are the most spastic things, and the threshold at which they wipe was always quicker than I liked. Luckily, I can turn it off and use them like normal intermittent wipers.

Sorry, just picked up a new 2018 Mazda3 (with a manual, you’re welcome), which actually replaced my NB Miata. I needed something more “daily” friendly, that I can actually drive people in.

That mold is no big deal, it’s all surface from being in a humid environment with the doors and windows shut. I’ve had to clean the same stuff from my cars before when I’ve stored them for the winter/extended periods of time. As someone below said, a big pack of paper towels and some cleaner and you’ll be done in a

Ew, no.

I feel like this isn’t a rare thing, I know the Z31 300Zx had similar windshield tinting options, and also like the SVX, only one of the colors is still readily available (forget which one, though).

Actually, it looks to have 3 doors, not 4, a la the Veloster. Unless you’re counting the hatch as a door (which I suppose technically is correct), in which case, carry on.

and THAT is why I’m glad the original plan to relocate them to Providence fell quickly on it’s face.

Came for the article, stayed for the crash simulation goodness.

What’s interesting is that it looks like the weld goes across the top of the bracket without making contact with it, and the bracket seems to have to weld on it either.
Possible mis-calibration of the robot welding that bracket causing it to weld a bit higher than it should, and just barely catching enough of the top

I was really excited this is finally happening on a production car, and I can even look past them still having two arms sticking out holding the cameras, but damn that screen placement looks awful and tacky. Like, laughably so. Could they not even ATTEMPT to integrate that into the A pillar a bit better?

Still has it!

Holyyyyyy crap I had the exact same RC when I was a kid, totally forgot about it until I saw this lol
