Wow, literally right down the road from me, I’ll have to keep an eye out for this one. Good job bringing it back to life!
I seem to remember reading you want to switch to be switching ground rather than hot, from a safety standpoint? Anybody have any input as to whether that’s true or not? Obviously it will function either way (switching hot or switching ground).
Oof, this hits hard. I bought a 1981 Datsun 200SX, very similar to the car my dad had in college. West coast car, pretty clean, but after 5 years in New England the rust was starting to rear its ugly head. I loved that car, drove like a cloud and I had the engine running mint, but I didn’t have the space, time, or…
Unfortunately it’s an M62 that came in these trucks (and the Xterras)

SONUVABITCH I’ve been wondering about this for so long!
I hadn’t yet been able to get under one to look (I only think about it when I’m behind one and can see it). Thanks for doing the hard work David!

I wonder if said supplier is going to have to pay any fines for halting Ford’s production line. I remember a story from a training session I was in when I worked for a tier 2 supplier about a company that had in their contract with with one of the Big Three, that they would be fined $70k for every MINUTE they shut…
Holy shit, this is in the town I went to high school. Figures these are the only gems that pop up around me.

1981 Nissan 200SX
Damn, so many facets of this story hit so close to home, especially the family-life side of things. Excellent excellent writing, very well done.
Miata. It’s always the blah blah blah.
Used my S110 200SX to drag some cut down trees into the woods. That’s what the tow hooks are there for!
Yessssss finally some Z31 love
This was my first car at 17 (I’m 25 now), and I’ve been through a few and have a project one sitting in the garage as I type.
