I honestly cannot see that car as anything other than a complete rip off of the SL. There didn't seem to be any original thought behind it other than making it look and drive worse.
I'm going to go ahead and argue a little. Cadillac may not have the biggest balls in the world but they have been forging forward with some nice cars and even taking some risks in the process (i.e. their entire design language, the V-wagon, etc). Maybe they realized that a 200k caddy wasn't the smartest risk to take…
My girlfriend is in love with the XLR styling, even though she doesn't like convertibles. I hope that I can one day afford to get her one, or something similar that she likes. We're still very young, so it might take a while!
I drove a Panamera GTS last year for my old job. One of the best cars I've ever been in. But I also like how it looked.
I picture an assembly line doing that with a 1200 lb battery in under 3 seconds. Awesome!
Massive turbos mean massive turbo lag. They might not even fully spool up in a quarter mile.
