It makes a little more sense that a hard disc drive manufacturer/data storage company might be considered essential while an electric (largely luxury) car manufacturer is not.

My company is struggling to wrap it’s head around the concept that you can do your entire job remotely. From the laptop and cell phone they already provided you with so they can always reach you haha.
