Why are you so enraged about it?

Angry? It's been more than a decade since "The Simpsons" made me chuckle, much less stirred my emotions. No anger here, just ennui.

Ancient script, overplayed content. Loved "The Simpsons" in its heyday, but come on. Please make it stop.

I hope it's your favorite movie now for different (or at least deeper) reasons than it was when you were growing up.

On the comparison to contemporary A/V assault I agree with you completely.

It's held up better than I thought, then, as it was every bit as unwatchable 23 years ago.
