That's an excellent point. I didn't go far enough in my comment because I'm still learning how to talk about racism, but the racial component in the Vick story can't be denied.

I hear a lot about this case since I work(ed) in pet rescue, but the man has paid his debt to society. The message that's getting through seems to be that nobody can ever be allowed to escape his past.
