@Adhominem: I think Valve just love the taste of fanboy tears and don't want their supply to dry up by actually throwing us a bone.

@Bialia: I've not played any of those games, but I do agree that, while it's hit me like a brick at the start, the difficulty's only really as hard as the player makes it on themselves. Gung-ho will kill you and you really do have to think out your actions first.

@Bialia: Really? Aw crap, I always thought that saving and quitting would land you all the way back at the Nexus, so I always tried to either go back and save, or press on and die, then quit when I respawn. BLAST!

@Karlott: It actually won over at GameSpot iirc.

@emwurst: Make it a four hands-in and we're good.

A lot of gamers the last few years have bemoaned that games are too easy. So From Software throws them a curve ball and makes things insanely had to the point that every corridor is a life-or-death experience. Then people don't like it. I'd love to be able to say "what's up with that?"

I'm expecting some Kotaku exclusive scoops on The Old Republic MMO. Don't let me down guys!

@deanbmmv: Just call the new number, it should be toll-free, but I didn't try last week, since I'd just installed Windows 7 that afternoon and hadn't got around to reinstalling Skype.

@dd528: It comes with the territory of success, and it's biggest success will be its biggest undoing. You made a good point mentioning clubs like Leeds and Wimbledon, and to an extent Nottingham Forest as well, and if things don't pick up on the pitch for Liverpool, I fear we're going to be heading down the same road.

@Natural-Born-Chaos: I'd break out and escape to the underground and find work as a soldier for hire.

@dd528: Well to flip the coin a bit, we had the whole issue of the Premier League here having talks of playing a 39th round of matches away from England and it didn't even get off the ground for being called a bad idea off the bat.

.. wait, no pay? Guess I better cancel that flight to Denver then so.

@lance.uppercut: Given that he was able to recall the IRL vs Gran Turismo 4 episode of Top Gear, I'm amazed at the mistake too.

@RawrSpoon: You could argue that The Beatles: Rock Band came out this year and apply the same logic however.

Whatever shred of faith I have in TV in the UK and Ireland, has just been lost. No wonder I download shows instead of tuning in.

@BryanH: Oh my god. Everyone, Saxton Hale posts on Kotaku. You've heard it here first.

@PoweredByHentai: Nintendo's robot-y thingymabobber that was made for the NES.

"This dumb hobby has taken me places."
