Yup, and the best part is he wasn’t even pretending to change the bill to woo Dems... they clearly were trying to cater to the far-right wackos in the final hours.

Right?! Trump warned fellow Repubs that if they voted “no” they’d be at risk of losing their seats.
:)
Time to roll down to Mar a Lago and cry this one out
PLEASE explain WHY these POS men are allowed to sit around writing pieces of legislation that have no hope of passing while being paid by our tax dollars to do so?
Yes! There are organizations like Swing Left that are targeting vulnerable districts and working toward increasing voter turnout to take seats from the Repubs - volunteer/donate, and, most importantly, vote!
Yes! My best friend’s mother is a high school civics teacher and (cringe) somehow also a big fan of Trump. She assures me that “Roe v Wade can’t be touched” because... reasons? I think they’ll go after it as soon as the opportunity presents itself.
i read an article about one woman who said her son’s health insurance premiums dropped dramatically after he lost his job, thanks to a generous subsidy. She proceeded to thank DONALD TRUMP for helping her son and said she just knows Trump’s healthcare bill will help many more people just like it helped her son.
I think you nailed it. They were not banking on a Republican president, and honestly, railing against Obamacare has done wonders for them politically. If they don’t pass this dumpster fire of a bill, then they continue to blame Democrats for everything.
I agree not enough white people speak out against stuff like this, but clearly some have. We wouldn’t have had 8 years of Obama without white people’s support. I think after Obama, some moderate white people got complacent (ie, “Hooray, racism is over because there’s a black president!”).
Good on you for staying in your red state and fighting the good fight! I agree the Republican party has become comically evil, like a band of cartoon villains. Dems have their problems but I think most of them have good intentions.
You are correct. That’s why both male and female babies have nipples! We all start developing as “female” in the womb.
I’m not sure you can compare ISIS, an organized militant group of extremists, to “White Hate,” which is really more of an ideology than an actual tangible group. I’m well aware white hate is an ideology ingrained (sadly) in many white people. And I do consider murders such as this a form of terrorism. But just as…
Yes, you’re definitely right. I picked up on that after I posted :( It’s a very valid observation.
I can’t imagine living in a red state; I think I’d go insane! I don’t think there is a single Republican holding office in my state, so it’s a very different culture here. Perhaps voters are getting a little complacent and taking our “blue” status for granted.
Yes! Funny how we never hear these disgusting old men complaining that women shouldn’t have to pay for prostate exams and Viagra.
I love that Colbert has been making his late night show more political. It’s done wonders for his ratings, and we really need him right now.
Yes to this. When he said he could shoot a person in the street and not lose any support, he wasn’t wrong!
Did I miss sarcasm? Damn it. It’s been a long week!
Eh, agree to disagree. I personally did vote for Hillary despite knowing my state would go blue regardless. I just don’t think it’s fair to be so hostile toward people who have a more logical rationale for staying home in “sure thing” states. The results of the election would have been the same whether they voted…
