Oh man, that song… I feel the exact same way. Very, very few songs hit me on a gut level without some sort of specific association, and that's one of them, to the point where it's kind of overwhelming to not have something specific to grasp onto emotionally.

Pretty disappointing IMO. FutureSex/LoveSounds was so ahead of it's time, especially considering all of the R&B trends now. This just sounds super by the numbers to me. I blame Timbaland… he's been coasting on name / past accolades for a long time now.

I saw an article about the diagnosis earlier in the year, but I didn't realize she had passed until now- sad news. What an amazing legacy- you pretty much can't go wrong with a record that she played on.

Totally… First thing I thought was reality/competition shows when it comes to cheap melodrama.. between that and the big procedurals, I think there's just as many big dumb grabs at heartstrings as there are cheap laughs on any given night.
