Glad to see other STL associated people speak out against movies like these. BLM is legit. Police harrassing black people is legit. The Ferguson PD seems to be racist. All legit.

He had one in the UK for awhile that was more of a traditional "reality" show where he went around his little farm and did his day to day life. His family seems sweet.
hahaha. Nice Dave Pirner reference. He looks exactly the same as '93 but with a smaller crowd and blacker band.
Disney could pull it off if they don't get overly ambitious. I think a lot of people would pay 5 or 10 bucks a month to make their kids happy. If they have all the animations, Marvel stuff, Disney Channel stuff, etc, it could work. A lot of that content is designed for repeat viewing and it's generally good quality…
The journalism could have also been wrong. No idea.
It partly depends how you look at it, too. Imagine having a stable life and settling only to have it all yanked away from you because of bubbles and the Great Recession. That hit most of us in our stride. There's something to be said for at least seeing how bad it is and having the opportunity to try something…
I explained my word choice. Take it or leave it. I certainly never called you names or suggested you were ineffectual at your job.
Well, one, by not citing anything. Two, are you saying that biology determines your career choice more than socialization? Where are the 1000s of studies showing that?
The botanist example is interesting. Don't get me wrong, my instinct is to agree that women are more towards the "living" vs. "nonliving" things too, but I can see my own bias in that gut feeling.
Also, even now the conversation is about whether you were being treated fairly or not compared to the substance of my position….why? Why avoid it if you sincerely disagree?
Well, I am not going out of my way to insult you. I never said your thoughts were "dumb" or "ignorant" or even that you didn't know what you're talking about.
He mentions political agendas far too much for me to believe he's actually trying to make a sincere point about corporate policy or how to better engage women… that's just my opinion.
Interesting. The liberal argument that I'm sympathetic to is an equity vs. equality issue. The conservative defense (at least my brand of conservatism) is that, economically equity is a win for business.
I haven't insulted you at all. I simply said that I believe you are being insincere, which I do think is true. You aren't even addressing my position (which I've stated over and over) and you're not really offering anything in refutation of it either….Now that we've cleared up what my position is, what exactly do you…
I'm not being a jerk to anyone and I can't believe Genji would track you down to drag you into his "debate". My apologies.
Nope. My contention is that socialization the greatest determiner to what women (or men) will select for their career. Not "rather than" anything.
Well said!
With the caveat that the generations thing is a lot of brainwashing, I think millennials are likely to bring about a different world order. I think it's a sea change that is similar to what the Boomers went through. I hope millennials are less douchy about it than the Boomers, but I'm doubtful.
Well, Gen X has all that same stuff + raising families and paying their loans WHILE paying for their kids college, etc.
Active shooter drills…That's a Millenial thing…but yeah, every generation is basically the same…
