Opinions and beliefs aren't explicitly the same as having a moral compass. Your beliefs can be proven to be irrational or not factual. Your opinions can be better defended or not. Your morals are things which you believe about the unknowns of the human condition and what 'ought' to be…not what is or what we 'know'. I

Well, I up voted you at least. Censorship is bad. Always. Forever. The fact anyone would debate this- liberal or conservative- is scary. The joke and how you feel about it is irrelevant if we are talking censorship.

Were you voting in the 90s?

Haha. Hey, it's nice to have a conversation (even if we disagree) which doesn't resort to snark or yelling. So, to me, that's a win.

The problems with Peggy McIntosh (not that she's inherently wrong, btw) are #1. It's an extremely well-thought out opinion piece, but one which doesn't incorporate scholarly, peer reviewed research. A lot of social justice materials also fit the bill in that regard. #2. Power dynamics are crucial to understanding

Nope. I have no idea what that site is or about. I'm happily married and have been for a very long time. I have no malice towards women of any kind. I'd just (generally) not date white women for a variety of reasons.

PS, my apologies if my point wasn't clear. I'm not stating that race isn't an issue- especially morally or that having a firm understanding of multiculturalism is beneficial to actually interacting with the world as it is and will increasingly be. I just don't believe it is as relevant to those people as discussing

It's not about whether they are racist, racially biased, or prejudiced. I agree with everything you said. The point is that in their day to day lives examining privilege as a class issue instead of a racial issue is more relevant. As you stated, they don't interact with other races- so how can they have a meaningful

Nope. I had enough sense to not marry one!

That's not what I stated. So, no. Not really.

They are inalienably good if you believe in self-determination and people having the right to advocate for their self-interests. In my experience, people who doubt democracy just have a hard time playing nice with others.

Hey, there are white, female governors, no?

Man, I'm with you on the 'give it time' front….However, you're obviously coming from a position where it would require a totalitarian state to be established before it would affect you. That's not true for a LOT of people.

How can you believe they hate white men if you go to their site? They are basically encouraging you to do whatever and then send a letter to your white, male, congressmen (provided a template) letting them know they've been registered. It's fairly clever and at least is DOING something. I didn't read any more 'hate'

Socialism just reinforces their power by giving them greater control. Go live in a more socialized society for a long time if you haven't. You will note that there are awesome benefits like adequate, affordable healthcare. You will also note that those in power are homogeneous and not particularly concerned with

Yeah. Sounds like a lose-lose for Muslims, though.

Equality is a class issue, not a race issue. They can be two things, but only one perspective actually takes into account the vast numbers or white people who will never interact with non-whites because they simply don't exist in the same geographic area…

White women have done me the most harm. By far.

They certainly don't share all my values on policy. That is true. It also doesn't make me a "white nationalist" as someone here prone to drama said of me. Truthfully, I try to be as anti-ideology as possible.

I am vulnerable as such that there are not many Muslims in my town and I have no idea what crazy people are out there and in today's climate I'm not going to put me, my wife, or my children at an excess risk. Thank you for at least considering my position.
