Here's the beauty of this: If the Amiibo is discontinued, it means it'll most likely not have functionality in future games, either. So unless you're a hardcore collector, it doesn't make much of a difference.

Oh wow, that's confusing. So Naruto and Sasuke are reincarnations of Kaguya's Grandchildren, then?

Wait, I thought the Sage of the Six Paths was Kaguya's Husband, and they had two children (which Naruto and Sasuke were reincarnated into).

So... who is the villain? I don't mind spoilers on that front.

So, my one gripe is that it doesn't seem like I can 'decline' quests once I have them. There are a lot of quests that I look at now as say 'there is no way I'm spending the time it would take to do that'. Quests like laying flowers on a grave would be a lot better if you started off in the area where you get that

Yeah, backwards compatibility is an issue, I completely agree. You should be able to use peripherals between ports.

I think the 6-button lineup is too many, anyway. It worked when arcades were a thing, but it's a ridiculous thing to attempt on today's standard four face button layout, where most people play.

Here is the issue with NYPD's policy. In the heat of the moment, there is no difference between a Choke Hold and a Sleeper Hold. Even the most experienced people can't get it right, and one of the first things I was taught in Martial Arts was never to use it unless you were willing to kill someone, because unless

Well, good thing I got a PS4. The controller is better for fighting games, anyway. Trying to play MvC3 or SF4 on Xbox was an exercise in futility.

My wife is in her first year of Residency post Medical School, lol. Odinsleep is exactly the term I needed :)

I only get kicked out of bed when I'm sick, because I'm usually snoring so badly she can't sleep.

Yeah the guy definitely deserved it. If I wake my wife from the Odinsleep because I'm playing a video game, she would sleep-murder me.

The fact that there is an entire episode of the anime that takes place over the course of about five seconds while one of the characters learns to suck it up should tell you why an abriged version is necessary.

I played with 8 people on a 37" TV for four hours. It was awesome, and yes - it's sometimes hard to tell what's going on or even where you are. Team Battles are definitely better than 8-way free for alls. We all didn't like it for the first few games, but it became more and more fun as we got used to it.

Eight Players is not too many. Just don't bother on TVs under 35". It has it's problems, like grabbing is futile and certain characters are better or worse than they would be in a 4 player, but it's a ton of fun, and it's looking to revitalize Smash in an era where all my friends and I have wives/girlfriends/more

I think the 3DS version covers your 'take your customs anywhere with you'. Granted, the Amiibo was intially misleading, because I also thought that it was basically going to be a cool way to 'tap in' your custom.

I don't disagree with you that the GCN controllers are a good back-up, but the Nintendo Website does state that 7 Pro Controllers can be used:

Sure! Except when the adapter is being price gouged. I love the adapter for players 6-8, but I'd prefer to have 1-5 covered with the Gamepad/Pro Controllers, simply because they're useful for other games to and the GCN compatability for future games isn't assured.

That's fair, but I'm thinking in terms of other games, Mario Kart is better with the Pro Controller, for instance. And I don't know what the GCN controller support will be for future games.

The X and Y made more sense when you consider the button mappings are largely the same from Melee, where they were located a little differently. 'Up' on the control stick is defaulted to jump as well.
