Colleges are still allowed to use race as a factor as long as normal methods don't result in the diversity they're looking for. Considering UT is, well, UT, I seriously doubt they'll have a problem justifying an affirmative action program.
I have to agree that as I get older I'm getting a lot more value out of board games, rather than video games. I don't have the time to invest in order to be competitive in FPSes or Fighting games anymore. Games shouldn't feel like work.
To be fair, one of Marlene's artifacts states that she was told to kill Joel, but she refused.
Always let us guys know when we're being jerks. Seriously. It's not good for any relationship when the one side doesn't say anything. This goes for both genders. Half the 'relationship problem' issues brought up here on Jezebel are because of poor communication. It doesn't matter if the other person acknowledges…
Because when you actually fight about it, you stop feeling pent up resentment over unstated feelings. It isn't a trap, I think the biggest problem any couple I know has is with communication. Not communicating is ALWAYS worse for the relationship than fighting. Always. It may feel easier at the time, but it isn't…
Also, less than cooperative fun :)
It reminds me far more of Mario Bros. than Smash Bros. - that old arcade game that came as part of Super Mario Bros. 3? That game was INSANE, and this looks to repeat it.
One day this generation, too, will look horrid to future generations, and when that day comes I hope your favorite games are beset upon by people like you.
The re-hash sales weren't enough to justify it because everyone had been playing it on the emulator and PSX for the last decade.
Okay, so this kind of speculation is pointless.
The problem is people keep buying old versions of FFVII whenever they are re-released. If we stopped proving they don't need to release a remake, we might actually get one.
MORTAL KOMBAAAAAAAAAAAAT!
I borrowed it briefly, but I never got into it. I'll try again now that it's been re-released.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not bashing the game. My tastes have changed in the 10 years between those games. I tend to enjoy American RPGs much more these days, although Chrono Trigger is still sacrosanct.
Before you act like this is ridiculous, consider that the cream-of-the-crop future generation of Doctors got there for the most part because they downed study aid drugs, rather than legitimate focus, drive and attention. Because that's all I'm hearing from friends in Medical School, is that the top 10% of the class…
No, XIII killed me with the 12 hour prologuey section where everyone is running away but nothing happens but talking about our feelings and a few cool VFX moments. The game just felt like work.
Hmm, maybe I should have been more clear. When I say 'grind', I also mean 'forced to fight repetitive battles so often that story pacing starts to suffer.
It's probably the only one I ever finished, because it's the only one that didn't require grinding to complete.
If it was one of those four pocket portfolios (a play set each of 7 cards), that random number makes a little more sense. It might have been a 'value rare' or 'value foil' thing.
