Did a quick scan of performance numbers of the T-50 vs. F-35: the T-50 has a longer flight range and can out run the F-35. The thrust/weight ratios are higher for the T-50 as well.

The T-50 has a better suite of weapons compared to the F-35 and, given trends in Russian weapons design, will likely have a better overall price point.
