Notice that the moment they put LeBlanc in the Nomad, on his own, without Evans shouting and jumping about, he felt completely natural and likable. I actually fast forwarded through much of the show, but I watched every bid of Matt in the Nomad. Yes, the concept was stupid, but as I listened to him talk about the car…

I felt LeBlanc was a little stiff in the studio, but outside of that was brilliant. The only times I actually laughed during the episode were all attributed to him, especially his “Rides like a Cadillac” line during the Nomad review. He’s a keeper, in my opinion.

Here’s the deal. Hardibro hit the nail on the head. Top Gear hasn’t been good for a while. I found and fell in love with Top Gear around season 12. There were 3 or 4 more good seasons before it seemed like they just decided to outright drop the illusion that any of it wasn’t scripted.

I don’t think that’s necessarily true. I had nothing against Evans prior to this episode and I know it won’t be Clarkson, Hammond, and May. But after this, I now see why a lot of people didn’t like him. I did however, like Matt and what I saw of the others on Extra Gear.

Chris Evans collects a seven figure salary paid for by the British public, and will continue to do so even if he gets canned from Top Gear. I don’t think he really needs anyone’s sympathy.

This. Then replace the stig with Sabine to add something new to this show and I’m sure it would be a success. I wish she had time to really open the Viper and Vette up and talk more about her opinions on the car.

I think a show with Reid, Harris, and LeBlanc would work well.

Extra Gear is what it should be as the entire show. I gotta say I enjoyed that more, Rory Reid, Chris Harris and Sabine work really well together
