It still makes me sad.

it's true, I probably wouldn't want to drive a Viper every day either... (some times you just want to relax...), but I still maintain it deserves better than it gets.

And I would rather have the Viper than the GTR... I am among the minority, it would seem. (can't afford either anyway...)

sadly, you are probably correct.

the place where that comparison falls down is that Cadillac makes cars that are well-engineered and fun to drive...

I can never entirely decide which faction I blame more for the “only idiots and outlaws ride motorcycles” view the rest of the public (mostly for good reason) has of us.... The Middle-Aged Harley Pseudo(and actual)-badass crowd or the Sport Bike Squids...

I have been riding for nearly 20 years and I have ridden a Harley and the only thing I can think about when I blip the throttle on a Harley is “Why? Why does it have to be so loud and rough? Why should I have to torture my ears and my ass to ride a motorcycle? Why should a modern motorcycle have such awful handling?”

*bangs head against wall*

Why do Vipers not FLY out of the dealership? A three-year-old used Ferrari California pulls down $200K, but Dodge had to reduce the price of the base Viper by $15K in order to sell any at $100K. New. With a warranty.

I’m not sure, I’m certainly not TRYING to get phenomenal economy... It did take a noticeable upswing after about 12k miles though, I’ve heard many people see this exact trend in the newer EcoBoost engines. Fuel economy is “meh” or “Ok” until about 12-15K miles and then it very quickly climbs to “Excellent!” or

see, my driving style is not conducive to beating the EPA estimate numbers, I can if I "try" but if I just get in and drive "normally" it doesn't tend to happen, except in the FieSTa and my old Alfa...

New econoboxes are much safer, quieter, and more comfortable than 25 year old ones.

I’m in the US... I well exceed the EPA estimates with this car... which surprises me, because I’m *NOT* the type of driver that usually does.

I'm still calling bullshit on the Sprint, I had an acquaintance who never broke 40 with his, I'll believe your claim if you live in a flat place and drive like a little old lady, meaning it might be possible, but I find it highly unlikely.

Oh, sure I can get 45MPG on the highway too, I’m talking 50/50 highway/city. Real city driving, sitting at stoplights and inching through four-way stop intersections, 3-miles-takes-30-minutes city driving. Also, I *DON’T* drive slow I use that 197HP and 210lb/ft of torque). Also, 2740lbs is hardly “tin can” territory

It’s weird, I think they’re horrible (5’-8”, 180lbs, wide shoulders, long torso, short legs), but my buddy has a Focus ST with them and he LOVES them (6’-even, normal-proporitions, but a bit on the heavy side, maybe 260lbs..). I think it has to do with ratios of seat-back to seat-bottom and the positioning of the

sadly “sense” is something the American buying public a a whole, sorely lacks :/

So Much #7.

True Fact #1: I bought a FieSTa because it’s an awesome car, and probably the greatest performance value on earth (with a warranty). True Fact #2: I am 5’ 8” tall with wide shoulders, long torso and short legs. For me, these are some of the most uncomfortable seats I have EVER had the displeasure of being crammed
