With the exception of wondering what was going on with Xigbar I didn’t really really feel like that many things were unanswered, but I didn’t focus too much on the story in general so I’m sure I missed a lot. I also assumed Sora was dead so that made it feel like a conclusive ending for me.

Understandable, a lot of it definitely does seem like Nomura throwing crazy shit at a wall and seeing what sticks. I still love it personally but the story isn't as important to me as the gameplay and characters themselves so it's a bit easier for me to enjoy.

Yeah that’s completely understandable. It’s strange considering the way they’ve done their intros in the past. But I am about 100 percent sure this game is gonna be fantastic, at least if you’re a fan of Fromsoft/Soulsborne games (and possibly for people who aren’t).
