Pre Eternal September (some of us were around back then!), it actually wasn't.

/pol/ on 4chan is essentially alt-right, although there are also a few scattered bernie-bros, libertarians, and catholics hanging around there as well. Many other boards on 4chan aren't particularly political, and a few (perhaps /lit/) could even be seen as leaning (very slightly) left on some issues, while still

Clearly Kyle's monologues have had no effect on you!

Well, it depends on what kind of neoliberalism you're talking about. There's neoliberal economic thought, which is largely just laissez-faire economics (and hews somewhat closely to American Libertarian thought), and then there's neoliberal international relations thought, which is largely focused on forming

Neither are they usually the kind of people who can pull off the most amazing naval ambush in history, hiding a fleet of hundreds from another fleet of hundreds until they're ready to open fire.

The unsullied also lack genitalia, so presumably they rape less than other 'intact' armies.

Eventually I just accepted Ramsay's plot armor and started openly rooting for him (which caused my wife to shake her head at me sadly and say something akin to 'you poor, addled man').

…and giant fleets. Those move neither quietly or stealthily. There is a reason that you don't read many histories about massive naval ambushes - it's because they didn't happen.

Gendry has been adrift for 3 years, just waiting for someone to give him directions. Good thing Theon jumped overboard!

I don't even bother looking at the grades. You can have one of the most damning reviews of a GoT episode that points out dozens of problems, and then the grade is a B+. Meh. I'll stick to the written articles, which are generally still pretty good.

I don't know… once you get past a few ships, surprise naval attacks are incredibly rare, because it's HARD to surprise another ship on the open water - if you can see them, they can see you, and usually you can see for miles and miles.

One would think that it would be difficult for one large fleet to sneak up on another large fleet unawares. Scout ships, crows nests, etc would seem to make a surprise fleet-wide action next to impossible. I know there was fog, but the fog would have impacted both fleets, not just one.

It's because people love dogs.

Armies have ranks, and different ranks (and different branches of those ranks) have different immediate loyalties. I would be very surprised if none of the top generals/lords/whatever of the remaining Lannister army held any loyalty to Kevan, and that they immediately would have gone 'Oh, OK, I guess Cersei is in

I don't know, I feel pretty safe crossing crosswalks when the 'walk' sign is on and opposing traffic is sitting at a red light.

Would the Lannister army follow her, though, when she just murdered the head of House Lannister in Kevan? I mean, I can see how it *could* happen, I suppose, but basically all of that has been swept under the rug and left unmentioned. It is what it is.

I think the Athenians' charge is still pretty heroic - nobody had successfully stood up to Persia before, and the Athenian hoplites had to run a good mile or so to charge a force that was 2 to 3 times greater in number than they were, while at the same time wearing their heavy equipment and being under fire from

AV Club comments - where the theories of Nobel Prize winning economists are brought to bear on (increasingly poorly thought-out) fantasy TV shows.

Eventually the Persians did retreat to the beaches and their ships (and the Athenians pursued them; some Athenians reportedly having their arms chopped off while clinging to Persian boats trying to keep them from leaving), but the battle itself wasn't fought on sand or anything. And like Daveshayne says below, the

See, I think it would make people second guess you even more than they ordinarily would. Especially when in previous seasons we've seen mobs of common folk present real security threats to Joffrey, align themselves with the High Sparrow and basically rule Kings Landing, etc. I don't understand where her power base is
