That’s an LS1, not 6. I like FRC’s for their rarity, and appreciate that this one still looks correct. Most of them are faking Z06's now - wheels, front bumper screens, and cutting the holes in the side to add Z06 brake ducts. That said, having put 130k miles on a C5 myself, lots of little but expensive things start

The Civic coupe still exists, but it’s weird looking. The back is too round. The sedan actually looks sportier.

It’s nice looking, but it has the issue as the last Pontiac GTO - crap in the trunk to prevent folding down the rear seats when carrying oversized items.

Yeah, I was thinking the negative space was *maybe* stretch for a misshapen wiener, and was going to advise whose ever it was that looked like that should seek out a doctor. If it’s a sperm, it aint a swimmer.

Curious how he’s getting that kind of range from an 80 kwh battery. Isn’t that substantially better than Tesla at the same size battery?

I feel bad for all involved in what’s happening at deadspin, and I really miss splinter, but damn do all these unrelated comments get old quick.

Yep, completely missed that. Too busy thinking “what the...?”

I had a friend who bought a 350Z new for the same reason. It was his dream car. At the time I was driving a C5, so when he tossed me the keys, my overwhelming impression was “slow”. It had a smooth ride, nice exhaust note (from the inside, hated it outside), and felt like it handled decent, though I wasn’t going to

$50k is fine, BMW roots are fine. The problem is it’s ugly. If it’s my money, I’m not buying a sports car that doesn’t bring a smile to my face just standing there looking at it.

Or door handles! Don’t forget the lack of exterior door handles!

We clocked our old 5hp 2-seater in the upper 30's, so the stated 40 is about par for the course for a 5hp. They’re just getting there faster.

The guy tossing pizza dough in the air had an errant shot, but with so much Botox, she didn’t notice it hitting her in the forehead. He then grabbed a rolled out breadstick and tossed it up there just to confirm.

For the guy getting offers of $192 for the BMW - If it is in that bad of shape, consider donating it. A co-worker of mine had an old Pathfinder that was a high mileage, complete rust bucket. The bottom 2/3's of the running boards were missing from rust. I’m sure the frame was nearly non-existent. She donated it to

First: As government incentives are ending for multiple companies’ EVs, does this really work out to much more of a discount than people have had up to now? It also seems a little premature, since there are only like 8 EVs on the market to choose from.

This is the type of guy that broke all of his toys as a kid. He just has no idea how to treat anything with respect. I bet you’d have to push a pile of fast food wrappers out of the way to get into any of the passenger seats in his own car, and that he parallel parks by feel.

L.B.N.L. is harder to pronounce than N.I.M.H.

LOL “easier and healthier”. I work at a university in DC, and tons of students use them, because they’re lazy. They’d rather fly through crowded sidewalks than walk. No helmets, no “on your left”, barely missing people, at full throttle. I haven’t heard of any major accidents on campus yet, but it will happen.

On the negative side, it’s just a reminder that privacy in so many ways is eroding away, and there’s damn little we can do about it.

Seems like “minor injuries” means “not fatal” a lot of the time. With how they had to cut out the B pillar, I’m sure it was more than a few scrapes and bruises.

An old neighbor of mine tried filming weddings as a side job for a while. He also wanted to branch out into car videos, so he begged me for months to take my vette out to some back roads for donuts, burnouts, and high-speed flyby’s. This is exactly the reason I turned him down. You’re not filming me doing illegal
