Alternately titled, “How to Make Jav76 even more Self-Conscious of His Big, Fat Head.” I look at him and think, man, I wish I could find baseball caps that fit.

And those same people raged about Obama taking the time to fill out March Madness brackets, when he should be president-ing.

I’m not sure I follow your logic. To date, as you linked, the fastest maglev has hit 374 mph on a 26 mile track. Per a Wiki article about maglevs:

Just to play devil’s advocate, nowhere did he say they’re going for a lap record.

Losing clients because you breakdown and don’t make it to the airport is a bad thing. He needs “reliable” because his livelihood depends on it.

Given the vehicle list of his clients and the mid-west location, I’m guessing most of his clients are ranchers and oil big wigs. That being the case, no (reliable and within his price range) foreign cars should be suggested. I bet the ribbing he gets is just as much about driving a Toyota as it is about it being an

Staying down in a ditch where nobody can see you doesn’t get help there quicker.

I’d say, yes, it is a competitor, and so far it is losing in all available stats. Slower 0-60, slower 1/4 mile, lower top speed, heavier, and (if I remember correctly) a smaller battery for $50k+ more. The only thing that might save it is the 2-speed transmission helping with range.

I just get the feeling everyone complaining about an electric turbo has forgotten or is too young to remember this glorious button.

I live in a small town, and this used to happen regularly at our Sheetz. Then an employee taking a smoke break out back accidentally burned the place down. I miss my Spicy Chicken Big Moz.

This is how I play games as well. As soon as I take the lead, I announce that I retire as champion.

Counterpoint: They’re ugly.

This is the first time I’ve realized the size of the bike. I too am not petite, and would look like a giant on it. I think a lot of the complaints about range could be solved if they come out with more of a cruiser-size bike that could hold a much larger battery (which would also be more appealing to their normal

The problem with the Loaded Grillers is that it’s a crap shoot on how much food you’re going to get. I’ve had them range from half the bites are tortilla only, to as heavy as a Grilled Stuft. I imagine that lead to profit losses and a headache from complaining customers expecting the large end of the scale.

I mixed it 50/50 with Sierra Mist to cut down on it’s overpowering sweetness and it made it the best thing they had.

My usual order is a steak grilled stuft burrito, a double decker, and a fiery Doritos Locos (The best one. Fight me.). It’s like Taco Bell is personally attacking me. Do they not realize how I single-handedly kept them in business throughout college?

Back in the 80's my uncle had a 914-6. He drove it from his house Jacksonville, FL to our’s in Tampa, FL with my aunt and 2 cousins (probably 8 and 12 at that point) somehow piled in it. Knowing him, he also most likely did the 3 1/2 hour drive in 2.

Wait, is that actually how it is spelled? How is Bockscar not one of their beers yet?

Looking at the amount of mud sprayed down the side, he’s probably not getting off the farm with street tires.

But it was a small block 1980 Corvette with a 3 speed slushbox. I doubt it hurt the performance that much, if at all.
