Yeah but he's going to be swimming in Emmys for OJ, so there's an appealing symmetry to the work of Cuba.

What's even more infuriating about Green Hornet it is probably the only Gondrey Superhero movie we'll ever get. Imagine if he took his Science of Sleep aesthetic to a Graphic Novel adaptation. He probably would have made a better Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World in every way imaginable too.

It was really unceremonious. Cox comes out with his synth, computer wizardry and just plays a seamless set with no transition. The band followed and sounded immaculate. They dwarf the vast majority of guitar based bands I've experienced live.

Monomania is a shaggy lovable record and I can see it being some people's all around favorite but I like less straight forward songwriting. When Deerhunter performed last year with Atlas Sound opening for them, I thought Bradford's new material as Atlas Sound far outclassed the just okay Fading Frontier laden set. Both Fading Frontier and Monomania have just been okay albums that are lacking a for lack of a better word an edge to them.
