Dallas Buyers Club was a well-made movie with a distracting performance. If they were to use an authentic trans woman in the role of Rayon you would have a truly good movie. But I don't think as our society's views change about trans/intersexual people and beyond that the movie will still be respected because of Jared

Are we going to look back on The Dallas Buyers Club and The Danish Girl the same way we regard blackface?

A rare album where the star is the main hurdle. No amount of Flaming Lips psychedelic wizardry can mask the fact that Cyrus is just a plain awful singer who comes close to listenability and an even worse lyricist.

Thanks a lot for inspiring this maddening puzzle.

Great now I realize the development of Adult Swim is the one thing I have already started feeling misty eyed and nostalgic over. The network is still unique and churning out shows I track down but its existence between the flux of standard cable and digital streaming allowed it to truly become its own creature. You

It's okay, it's just the one piece of TV I ever felt truly in love with and will spend the rest of my life chasing the dream of experiencing anything as satisfying as it again (Maybe the next Twin Peaks season)?

As if a Danish ballerina would ever age.

But that challenge of remaking the perfect movie is one that Fuller and co. could really challenge themselves and make an artistic statement that neither reveres or disparages the original. Just remember nobody thought that the Hannibal tv show was ever necessary because of how perfect Silence is to audiences.

I have a feeling Richard Pyror would hate this movie. Why not get some creatives that are young and dangerous behind this film that are truer to Pryor's sensibility instead of turning his life into another corporate bedtime fable.

Of course someone with a Zimmerman avatar would support that model. I watched I'm Not There and found it left zero impression on me afterwards, other than that I'd rather be watching Todd Solondz's Palindromes. What I'm trying to say is that film is a better idea than it was a satisfying narrative experience…still

He's stuck in the same existential funk and desperation for the lowest common dominator approval like Robin Williams and Sandler and Pryor too for that matter. Out of all the show biz trajectories, the stand-up to film celebrity is a path filled with the most artistic degradation.

Who is out there worshiping her, or better yet expecting you to worship her? Her TV network is mostly a failure and she keeps a dignified quiet celebrity profile. Celebrity worship is unsettling, but it can provide vulnerable, desperate people a role model or at least help them believe that their lives can be better.

Definitely one of the best live experiences around.

The works of Grouper and Steve Roach are my standard sleep aids.

He's an amazing talent that never seems to get enough work for my taste. I first discovered him as Dr. Venture and have been following him ever since. Check out the movie Henry Fool by Hal Hartley, probably one of best indie American films ever made.

Wow, based on the quality of this song I didn't realize it has been Ben Gibbard holding back Death Cab For Cutie all this time

I think the "foreign/Non-Western = bad or scary" mentality is preventing Mikkelsen' to showcase his lighter side like in his performances in Adam's Apple and The Hunt. He's just so endearing, truly the best living actor we have today.

The hubris of this film's ad's campaign is infuriating.

Congratulations. You wrote a better pilot.

This could have been the It's a Talking Cat sequel/reboot that Hollywood could have blown hearts with. Loggerfield, as proven by Greg Proops, is a goldmine of narrative potential with one significant fulcrum to swing from: his cat obsession. Get Kristen Stewart to play the cat, that occasionally comes to Loggerfield
