You forgot the new Pj Harvey album/recording experiment!
You forgot the new Pj Harvey album/recording experiment!
Why has no one given John Cameron Mitchell another budget to make another musical? Wasn't Hedwig a Broadway smash?
Too bad none of the songs leaked are the Ariel Pink collabo. Seriously, Madonna seems like an artist at this point isn't going to reach the same level of commercial success she once had, so why not go off the beaten path and try something different?
Still bitter about their treatment of Kids in the Hall.
I just wanted to talk about this album…because my life is lacking in the music fanatic departments. Quite sad that this site, of all places, is where I try to find an outlet. But Quite Sad is a descriptor I'd used for most of my digital habits.
The Charade is my immediate stand-out, it's the sort of song that could be looped for hours and you'd still want to listen to it again.
This sort of music is all too rare, and that makes it all the more glorious. Nowhere on this album will you find any moments of predictability, you're just left hanging in…
dylan's releasing underground bootlegs of his old bootlegs! Straight outta the Disney vault!
The pike of white vinyl clad corpses reeked of kipper, not even the Super Troopers could manage the scene.
Your reality sounds like a terribly unsexy place.
Congratulations AV Club, we're reaching new levels of gentrification. This band takes precedence over what has been the biggest surprise musical moment of the entire year?
Moments like these make me hate myself for making a best of the year post. It's like we learned nothing from Beyonce.
Another plug for Winter's Tale, I've done so on another thread before and I will do it again here. Yes, the film is terrible but more importantly it is also extremely watchable. The film is also an ambitious failure like Southland Tales, not as insane as that film but both have a level of commitment to absurdity and…
The best part of Serial is hearing guys like Howard Kremer and Jimmy Pardo kavitching(and rightfully so) about the popularity of podcasting. The show just exposes the American public for what they really are: a bunch of conformists, who also happen to love dead people more than the living.
And the man's name reads like a shoddy Mel Gibson nome de plume.
So have you cracked the code to what humor does equate to?
Whoa now, how can you listen to "Late Bloomer" and tell me those lyrics are objectively shitty? The album, The Voyager, is charming, breezy and full of good slinky guitar numbers. That's what I meant by it sounding like a Tom Petty album.
Although, it's vile for people to hate someone just because they're fat. Body size has nothing to do with personal value.
Wondering why people hate James Corden?

But she made a better Tom Petty album this year than Tom Petty did.
Possibly, but Watts' was kind of awkward and terrible on camera, he participated in some terrific sketches on the show but he won't be missed (at least not by this CBB fan). Watts' relies the heaviest on anti-humor and I just didn't think he had much in the way of chemistry with Auckerman. I'd much prefer someone who…
