aren't we all? at least we are when the lights are turned down low.

You don't recognize any amount of loving craft put into that show? It's got a lot of lo-fi whimsy, but it's kind of insulting to think that Auckerman & co. just squat these things out.

Are there any good new animes out this year?

But, why should we only compare Pynchon's work with his own bibliography and not with the rest of American literature that came out around Inherent's Vice publishing date? His prose may have gotten more relaxed as he's aged, but he also exists in the world of literature and he shouldn't be analysed as a standalone

a) I agree with you, I just wanted to engage in an exercise of devil advocacy against a show I have no problem with.
B) It is funny and sharp but I still think it's being judged through a lense steeped in gender politics.

Why can't Netflix stream Hannibal? Or NBC cable OD? I want to watch the show so badly, but I am substantially lazier about returning discs than I am about streaming.

Granted Colbert has largely been fluffier in its content as its reaching its final stretch, and he's less concerned about being as radical with his commentary. Jon Stewart is just getting tired.
John Oliver, actually is educating the public in a sophisticated and mature manner that has not been the priority of the two

I like Broad City but I do feel rather cynical about it's adoration. The show is good but I think it mainly captures what's going on in this moment and time in Western cultural revolution, where realistic depictions of women are becoming more valuable and cherished as the years go on.
Broad City is great, and I'm sure

The show was okay and pulpy but despite it was mainly a collection of startling moments and I had a hard time caring about the characters or investing in the world. The show's world is interesting and filthy but it's also mostly monochormatic and I just found by the fifth or so episode that I was suffocating on the

Mad Men! Because if you a Netflix account where all 6/7 seasons are streaming there is no reason to neglect what is truly one of the few important American dramas created in the 21st century. The show has a way of culminating plot that is satisfying every time, and Don Draper and Peggy Olsen are two of the best

I'd agree with you, if I wasn't fanatical about Pynchon. All levels of rationale have been out the window the day this project was released for me. I am a maniac!

Film Critics should be banned from talking about this movie if they aren't familiar with the source material. The book doesn't have a lot of obtuse cultural references like Pynchon's other books liberally apply. Pynchon's whole approach to the detective genre does not involve the solving of mysteries. The original

The cross synergy of PTA, Thomas Pynchon, Joaquin Phoenix, Joanna Newsom…it's like some cosmic entity is finally humoring me.

How can you love the book, Pynchon and general, and claim that he is a plot driven storyteller?

Gather round' the teleprompters germs and fungi because the boys at PIGSTAR are at it again, trodding out the time old tale of Women are from Mars and Men are from Mars that makes bold statements via facial hair consciousness and Children are from Xanadu. Yes, Inside Out promises a wild thrill coaster funplosion that

Stephen Sondheim and Thomas Pynchon are garbage people compared to Bob Ross.

There are a lot of parallels in the music world as well, it's actually detrimental for a musician/band to be too consistently good. Consumers crave the thrill of the narrative to such an excessive degree (rise and fall and falls and rise) and combine that with dwindling attention spans and you get a pop culture that

Who do you think will do the song? Adele again? Lorde? Lana Del Rey?

Wow a really high ranking of BoJack Horseman. I avoided that show because of the middling reviews, and general apathy but I find your taste impeccable and will investigate.

Ass an am Americeran alls I can talks bout is my Motherland.
