Nobody's talking about how good John Ennis is in the Neighbors video, so here's my take:

The Colorado bias on this site is appalling. Sad.

Somewhere in Los Angeles, Trent Reznor is happily settling the needle onto the new Mountain Goats record, unaware of the sick burn waiting for him.

That's fair. Those few in particular definitely exist in their own space, but I'd argue that All Eternals Deck (or Life of the World to Come, for that matter, if you ignore the song titles) has more in common with Get Lonely than it does with Beat the Champ.

I hear you on its feeling different than the rest of the catalog, but people also flipped out when Tallahassee sounded clean. If one epoch can be called "tape hiss," the next was "production quality," and Beat the Champ could be the start of a new third one. I'm committed to being on board for the ride, in any event.

I suspect you need to give Full Force Galesburg another few spins, judging by your top 8… It fits right in with the era you prefer, which you should definitely refer to as "the recognitions scene."

Yep! What a concept!

Y'all need some more Full Force Galesburg in your lives.

And though all good things in time will melt away
Pinklon Thomas is getting out of prison today.

Won't be me. Someday I am going to walk out of here free.

That 4% battery is giving me Anxiety.

What's not to get about Store?
