I just told my Stephen King freak of a wife that King had tweeted a possible change to the books. After I warned her about the spoiler, she said she still wanted to know. I showed her the tweet, just the picture portion and her jaw literally dropped. Then I read what King said and she tilted her head back for like 30

If there is a firearm on screen it is almost impossible for the depiction to be close to realistic. Not nitpicky little stuff that only gun nuts will catch, I'm talking major, basic facts about their operation or even existence.

Too late.

We had a local chain called Video Zone. They had taken over the city, including one that used a lot of the space in a defunct supermarket. It was obviously huge, with a playroom for kids, theming for the different sections, etc. Needless to say, they went under and someone bought one of the locations near me. In what

Lens flare? Camera moves? Framing? Almost everyone who has commented on the trailer's look has made a point of saying how different it looks than the previous movies. I literally don't see any obvious Abrams cues in it. It just seems like a reflex criticism to say it looks like Abrams, particularly when you can't

"looks to be continuing Abrams' style."

Oooo, look at me, I'm Just Ask This Scientician and I only follow credible evidence! I didn't get my information from Oliver Stone! I'm Mr. Smarty Smart!

We saw Hot Fuzz in a nearly empty theater, the exception being a woman who entered the theater nearly a half hour into the movie with two children both well under ten. She chose to sit within ten or twelve feet of us and then got really pissed when we politely shushed her kids who were talking non-stop. No, Hot Fuzz

I didn't even watch ER but happened to catch the scene where the other doctor is attacked, falls to the floor, and makes eye contact with the already assaulted Martin. That is still one of the most horrifying and haunting scenes I've ever seen, TV or movies.

Not only would it have spared us several more awful seasons, Rita's death would have been a thematically perfect place to end the show. A show infamous for it's hilariously bad final season, episode, and scene would have gone out on a high.

I saw them in Columbus for the R40 show, and I was in shock. Lots of women in a wide range of ages. I saw teenage boys with, no kidding, dates! Tons of people my age who brought their kids (I saw what had to be a eight or nine year old girl holding a, "My first Rush concert" sign. And I kid you not, we counted like

My wife generally puts up with when Rush songs come on in the car or something. Prime Mover was the first one she genuinely liked. Rush songs aren't typically joyful, that's one of the exceptions.

I also have to mention the brilliant sound design in that scene, with Heather's screams alternating between the two sources. Christ that was good.

I had already seen BWP but my wife hadn't. After the final scene, she looked stunned, her mouth was open and her eyes huge. But it didn't register, she asked, "What was he doing?" I answered, "He was standing in the corner." She looked at me still confused, so I said it again, emphasizing "standing in the corner." She

Neil Peart wasn't the drummer on the first Rush album but he was inducted. I'm reasonably sure John Rutsey was not inducted posthumously.

One might say it was twin peak JLH.

And the decision to shut down all that air travel was made by one guy with the brains and balls to do it. No consulting with anyone, he just ordered it done.

Holy crap, my favorite two moments as well. What kills me about, "DO SOMETHING," is that Joel, seemingly the most gentle, mild presence imaginable, sounds genuinely pissed off.

I think something is wrong with me, I can't possibly be the only person to hear a good bit of Supertramp in this song, can I?

How could you miss Amy Adams and Isla Fisher?
