Actually, the monitors are perfect where they are. I was surprised myself. Really solid center imaging at the desk. On the other side of the room I have an easy chair that’s actually placed perfectly, but the Tannoys have such solid imaging they sound great everywhere in the room.

Unfortunately, the Asus MX279H monitors don’t have Displayport—HDMI only. SO I have to use adaptors on 2 to get them into the display port jack on my GTX 1080.

I got a 4 port splitter from Best Buy. Not the best, but it works. Actually, since I picked up an Oculus Rift things have gone a little wonky with my splitter. I use and Egato HD60 and something’s not playing nicely. But that’s not the fault of the switcher.

Oh, and I like my 27s, but I agere that it can be a little much. These Asus mx29h monitors are some of the best I’ve come across. I really like their color reproduction. I like being able to have fullscreen apps on 3 screens. It’s also pretty amazing with games like Elite Dangerous.

I’ve had that D-15 since 1998. It was my constant companion through several years of touring and playing. It’s semi-retired now because the finish has gotten thing and the wood started to crack. Still love it, though. I’ve had many guitars before and since but I won’t get rid of that one.
