If you rented it at random as a teen, not really knowing what it was going to be, it was a pretty pleasant surprise.

I'm with you. Any action that gets under his skin and provokes him to behave ridiculously undermines his authority and makes him easier to fight.
At their own peril, I'm afraid.
I am actually really surprised that Kerry King is not a diehard Trumper.
Man, I really liked the first half or so of The Island. Once it hit a certain point, though, you could almost feel Bay's sense of relief that all the plot stuff was out of the way.
How is it that this guy makes basically one type of movie, and the only real artistic requirement for that particular type of movie is that it not be boring, and yet all his movies are boring as hell, and yet people keep going to see them and he keeps getting to make more?
Now that I think about it, I think metal has two features that might appeal to right-wing sensibilities: one, I think metal is known for a lack of subtlety that maybe overlaps with the conservative mindset's resistance to nuance (before anybody jumps on me for being condescending, I'm basing this perception of…
I like metal too, it's just weird. I know there have always been Nazi bands as well as some far-left bands, but the idea that a bunch of these folks would just be regular-ass Republicans is incomprehensible to me.
Okay, first of all, "Angel of Death" is badass. Let's not even pretend that's up for debate.
I appreciated the reference to the South's hot sauce dependency. But it bears mentioning, we're a pretty mayo-obsessed people as well.
In the South, serving people a dish containing non-Duke's mayo is basically considered an insult as well as a sign of personal ineptitude. If you put Hellman's in the potato salad, you will never be asked to make the potato salad again.
Probably because he's a braindead moron with no self-awareness? I don't know, just a theory.
If it's the one I'm thinking of, I've heard some folks say that it's out of context—they were doing the big prayer or whatever, and he turned around and said something to her which made her smile and then she goes back to prayer mode once he turns back around. I haven't seen a longer clip so I have no idea if that's…
I actually really liked that ascent through the snowy forest! Really enjoyed the atmosphere, and I though the rhythm of progressively unlocking better shortcuts as you go was really satisfying and paced well with the difficulty of the area.
I think I liked the previous expansion more than a lot of people did. It was a bit slight and didn't feel like much more than a really good extra level of DS3, but the layout was cool and I thought the main boss was a lot of fun. I hope this one is a little meatier, though, like the more robust expansions for DS2.
All right, comrades, time to shut it down. Some random guy from the A.V. Club thinks our iconography is frivolous. I guess the fascists win.
Seeing the scale of the protests today restored a little bit of my faith in America. I think we might actually be okay.
Anybody remember when Ted Cruz said net neutrality was "Obamacare for the internet?"
"Tell someone who gives a shit."
