I think the sewer sections of HL2 are plenty good. It helps that there's a good narrative reason for you to be traveling through the sewer system, and you return to the surface regularly throughout the sequence. I never really even thought of it as a "sewer level" until just now.

I have dreams where I"m dodging HL2's Civil Protection cops every now and then. It's a pretty effective enemy design.

I think the art direction is probably the weakest link in an otherwise great game, but I do really enjoy the heavy metal album cover look of the Hell levels.

As a friend of mine put it, "Romney would have been a pretty bad president but at least he's not a dangerous animal."

Here's the thing that blows my mind: nearly every truthful, substantial criticism you could make of Hilary Clinton (and there are plenty) is also true about Donald Trump, and usually to a cartoonish degree.

Well, the "bad apples" comparison clearly isn't being used to denigrate police, but ironically, it's still an offensive comparison for the exact same reason as Trump's Skittle's comparison. As SleepyGary indicated in his comments, the Skittles thing was basically a way of minimizing a serious situation—taking a

I was going to explain why that line of thinking is faulty and basically irrelevant to the discussion, but SleepyGary pretty much said most of it in a word. Everyone has seen this half-assed dodge a million times.

No, Black Lives Matter is protesting police brutality and racial disparity in policing. That graph doesn't even pertain to to the issue, much less "obliterate" anything.

I almost tried selling Cutco once, but the whole thing just seemed shady as hell. Before your "interview" (which is basically just a formality to make sure you're a functioning human), they make all the applicants sit through this long Cutco presentation which is basically a sales pitch in and of itself. I was pretty

My favorite is "Trump can't be bought!" Isn't the fact that they ultimately end up doing the bidding of people like Donald Trump the entire reason bought politicians are a bad thing? Are y'all just trying to cut out the middle man or what?

I dunno, I really like the whole "way of the future" sequence at the end of The Aviator.

I never played the first two Mafia games either, but it does look kind of cool. I think you get to be a black gangster in 60s New Orleans and go around shooting up Klansmen or something.

Still getting moved into the new house but I finally got my computer set up, so I think tonight I'll be relaxing with a little Dark Souls 3. I'm pretty near the end of the game, I think, but it's been a while since I played so I can't remember exactly where I am. Maybe a little Papers, Please and Sunless Sea while I'm

Ah, reliable old false-equivalency brand of trolling.

Was that knucklehead from the future…?

Then perhaps I can interest you in one of these $300 Fugazi Riot Bats?

The only acceptable use for Peeps is Peep Jousting. That's when you take two Peeps and stick toothpicks in them so it looks like they're holding lances. Then you put them on a plate facing each other and stick them in the microwave, where they will start to expand. Whichever Peep pokes the other Peep with its

Nah, Cruz is at least as bad as Trump, just in a different way.

I knew American politics were all kinds of fucked up when I found myself feeling bad for Jeb Bush.

I think you're right to say that Trump's campaign isn't an expression of normal Republicanism, but I do think the Republican party is responsible for fostering an atmosphere where a person like Trump could become the Republican nominee. I don't think it's any secret to most people that the GOP has a long history of
