I know what you mean. Ghostbusters used to be this cool thing from the 80's to get nostalgic about, but last year was such a bitter, hateful time.
Every day last summer there were news articles and blogs popping up on my feed accusing fans of being mysoginistic "whiny man babies", and then there was that witch hunt

It feels like Reitman is having to clean up the mess that Feig left behind from last year. I think he said a few months ago that it's imperative they unite the two franchises and IDW are now doing that with the comic books.
The Feig movie should have been a sequel, or simply taken place in the same universe where there

Seeing as that version was never made, he didn't have to (it was only a rumour at the time) but he was clearly unhappy with the prospect of a Ghostbusters movie without the original cast reprising their roles (regardless of the gender of the new team)

Jesse, here's a video James Rolfe made on Ghostbusters 3 way back in 2007

When did James Rolfe make a demand to boycott the film? Did he implore his legions of fans to set up picket lines at the cinemas?
No, he just stated his thoughts on the movie, and why he 's going to pass on it as he doesn't like the look of it.

Back in the 80's Ghostbusters was HUGE, there were the movies, the cartoon series, action figures, play sets, comic books, video games, toothpaste etc.
