I’ve noticed that kids don’t really pay attention to traffic while they are passengers any more. Every second they are in the car, they are on their phones. After 15 years, suddenly they are expected to understand the patterns in traffic, when to be cautious, what to look out for, and they don’t have any experience to

If I was rich and dying, I'd buy the car and gift it back to the ex-husband. I bet he misses this car more than the wife.

Interesting history about radars - I had no idea elevation setting had to be set by hand in the past. I can imagine some crazy antique radar where even the horizontal scan was powered a hand crank - hah.

I've lived most of my 40 years right across the river from NAS Jax, and have listened to the turboprop P-3's flying low overheard several times a day since I can remember. There's one flying over as I type this. It'll be a shame when they are replaced with the Poseidons (with their turbofans).

Also keep in mind the self-drive system doesn't need to be perfect 100% of the time (nothing is, as you know). It just needs to be better than the average (or above-average) human driver.
