Wow, some of these are rather awesome.

A fair point. I would say that WoW has more story and lore behind it, but Final Fantasy XIV puts theirs together better.

Rent a car at your own risk. Traffic sucks and parking is expensive. If you do rent a car, keep nothing behind when you park it someplace. Leaving a bag in the passenger seat is the easiest way to end up with a broken window and a missing bag.

Go in the summer to take advantage of the extra long day and lack of rain. Temps are mild and there are often great views. Rainier is about an hour and a half outside the city, so you can drive down in the AM, hike around and see the mountain close up before heading back for dinner. If you’re not doing that kind of

First, say it with me: “Pike Place Market, not Pike’s Place Market.”

Biscuit Bitch serves great biscuits & gravy (the location I go to is mostly standing room only & often crowded). Von’s 1000 Spirits is a nice place to catch a good dinner. Duke’s has some awesome chowder. Piroshky Piroshky has fantastic pastries - both savory & sweet ones. Rachel’s Ginger Beer is a great place to stop

Oh my god this.

Learn to enjoy different Asian cuisines to eat on the cheap: pho (Than bros), Chinese deli (Maruta), plenty of teriyaki joints (although more of a western phenom). Don’t order pizza here.

Museum of Flight is well worth the trip (Can walk onto one of the 707 based Air Force One’s that carried Eisenhower, JFK, LBJ and Nixon), along with the first flight worthy 747 and the Concorde) , you can also head up to Renton for the Boeing tour of the 737 and 787 assembly lines.

In the late spring and summer, if you don’t venture outdoors and take a drive into the Cascades for a hike, then you aren’t living. Looking for an easy hike for everyone in your family? Check out Coal Creek Trail, Franklin Falls, or simply take a stroll around Discovery Park, home of Fort Lawton, with astounding views

I went to Seattle for the first time a few weeks ago and I had the best time. I really recommend doing all of the touristy things. Go to Pike Place, Seattle Art Museum, and check out the bars and the restaurants. Shop on 6th. Take pictures with the chewing gum wall. We were lucky because it was sunny for the whole

I only stayed in Seattle for three months, but really liked the city and its attitude.

I was up there for a week mostly by myself, and really enjoyed the pop culture museum (Mopop). I found Seattle to be a quiet, lovely city. Quite a change from my native Atlanta.

Not from Seattle but I do have a piece of advice for those who visit. Be prepared to exercise. Bring comfortable shoes.

Nosh food truck. Thank me later.

If you want to stay in an airbnb and drive a car, avoid Capitol Hill. Parking is a major pain, even with the guest permit most hosts will provide. Parking is easier to find in nearby neighborhoods such as Cherry Hill.

When I lived in Seattle Ivars Salmon House was a favorite. Built as a replica of a Native American long house, it’s right on the water. Not downtown, so it might get missed by visitors.

I cannot stress this piece of advice any more strongly, it is first and foremost recommended for anyone visiting this very pretty city/area:

Kel’s Irish Pub - wonderful atmosphere, traditional Irish fare, friendly staff - what’s not to like?

I wish this would have been posted before September when I was out there. I enjoyed my time but I felt like there wasn’t enough to do.
