If that’s true, then Kenny gets my vote for executive of the year.

“Yes.”
- Drake and Montana LaRoche

Seriously. From the sound of it, this kid was with them constantly. It’s basically like having a chaperone everywhere you go.

I love my friends, but I wouldn’t want them to bring their kids with us everywhere we went. This isn’t one or two days, it’s almost the whole season.

Maybe if you’re married, more tame, whatever.

I like the theory that it was Drake who really complained, possibly talking to Williams about it. He wasn’t comfortable telling dad he didn’t want to always be at the ballpark, and couldn’t have forseen that dad would flip his shit and quit baseball over it.

LaRoche claimed that anyone who had any issue with the kid’s omnipresence was welcome to approach him, but how comfortable could they be doing so when he seemed to have the tacit approval of management? I agree with the poster yesterday who pointed out this was handled exactly right. The employees quietly complained

There’s nothing to gain by being outed as the “bad guy” who doesn’t want his workplace to be daycare. Especially when it’s pretty likely that LaRoche is the kind of bible thumper who would take to Twitter and say things like you’re anti-family and hate Jesus.

I have no idea what this has to do with the unwritten rules of baseball, but why is it surprising or discrediting that the complaints about the kid would be off the record?

Dear all parents everywhere:

One of the major joys for fathers going to work is being away from kids.

My Theory? Sale is one of the people who complained about the kid. “Methinks thou dost protest too much”

The good news is LaRoche and his son can now spend the rest of the school year touring with the Trump campaign.

I was thinking about it earlier today. I’m sure the fact that LaRoche is really, really religious probably affected how teammates felt they could act in the clubhouse with his son around. I’m sure a lot of them felt censored much of the time, which can’t be the best environment to want to be in.

I haven’t been anti-player. This is a unique and ridiculous situation for a professional team to have—which falls in like with what this site would cover—and I’ve expressed that without taking a side.

1. Is Sale trying to orchestrate a way to get dealt because that team isn’t going anywhere?

Yeah. I didn’t “sleep around” or have unprotected sex up the wazoo and I still don’t know how I got the herp. Derp.

If your partner already suspects something. People can get a funny sixth senses about these things. If your partner already fears the worst, fess up.

By no metric is the music business doing “fine”. Actual sales of music including downloads are significantly down. Streaming, which pays an artist jackshit, seems to be the main way people listen to music. When the biggest story in the last 5 years is the continued resurgence of vinyl, yes, the industry is dying if

I’m sure you have. I don’t think everyone loved it, but a lot of people did. Yet looking at the tone of the articles posted here lately and most comments, you’d think Coldplay was some utter garbage band that for some inexplicable reason was asked to perform at the Super Bowl.

Oh, jeezus. I don’t even listen to Coldplay anymore, but it’s amazing to see so many people jumping on the “Colplay sucks” bandwagon. Like, is everyone here 20 years old or did y’all just conveniently forget Parachutes and A Rush of Blood to the Head?

It is odd how people want them to be immature and angry and petty, despite the two children involved.
