The Miata is a great sporty car for teens (or other less experienced drivers) who want something sporty without enough power to get into much trouble with.

The H3 shouldn’t be on this list. If you want/need a rock solid medium-sized SUV with a real truck frame that can actually be used for serious off-roading, the H3 is hard to beat.

I would argue that most (legal) gun owners are far more responsible and have often been through more/better safety/usage training than the average beat cop. It is the combination of having an issued weapon + poor training + knowing they likely would not be held responsible, with a dash of “we’ll hire anyone” mentality…

I like the idea but I’m not sure that’s viable in the US. There are more guns than people in this country.

The solution is incredibly simple - police officers should not carry sidearms. You don’t hear about police shootings in the UK: In some countries including Iceland, Ireland, New Zealand, Norway, the United Kingdom (Northern Ireland excepted), Maldives, the police do not carry firearms unless the situation is expected…
