Both MS and Sony have said that the Xim4 is not a cheating device. Sony offers two third-party m/kb devices, MS is adding native support for m/kb for some XB1 games.

By that logic, we should ban steering wheels, arcade sticks and flight controllers while we’re at it.
No, it doesn’t work like that. M/kb on console is still subject to the same turn-speed limits of console games. It’s a very different and significantly slower experience than PC gaming. You do improve precision with a mouse, but turning and twitch shooting is better on a controller.
Again, no it doesn’t. M/kb on console behaves differently to m/kb on PC. PC mouse movement is distance-based whereas on console it’s velocity-based. We can’t do anything more than a padder can do because we have the same movement limitations as a thumbstick.
Aim assist either doesn’t work with m/kb, or works against it.
I play console games to get away from the hackers, cheats and pirates on PC, not to mention the expensive hardware upgrade circle-jerk.
That’s one of the target markets and the Xim4 crew goes out of their way to assist with hardware support for disabled gamers.
You can use Xbox controllers on PlayStation and vice-versa, but an authentic XB1, PS4, 360 or PS3 controllers (Xim4 supports all of these platforms) is still required to respond to the pings from the console to check if the controller is connected and genuine.
The Xim4 DOES charge the controller when connected.
