The tag is a bit, so that's an actor playing a writer, not the actual writer.

The real crime concerning this grade is that it's the lowest Dan Harmon-backed grade of the series, tying only S01E05 - Which is a far better episode. Season 4 is worse for sure, but not by much.

I totally agree with this, during the Chicago screening someone in the audience asked who "Kevin" was in the post-film Q&A.  Goddard wouldn't answer the question.  If it were a serial killer in the vein of Jason/Freddy I can't imagine it would cause him to be so tight-lipped.

"upstairs" means like on the killing floor — and he was upset because he knew that it would be really hard to fix that problem — if they all escaped they would fail and he would most likely die given the fact that every other "house" had failed
