Are you kidding.... He’s 900 years old. We would be lucky to have Trump put him on the court, much less damage than a 48 year old Scalia clone

That’s wonderful. And a worthy cause indeed. Thank you very much. Luckily I am pretty tuned into the process in my state. I teach at a university, and am tuned into some of the progressive elements of my state party. I’m not in s position to run right now, but I will be much more involved in my town and state party, I…
completely agree with 2018, although I am actually quite hopeful for that election. The democrats did a great job in 2002, 04 and 06 in the wake of the Bush presidency.
I think one factor that is not being considered here is that from a raw vote standpoint, the Democrats were actually positioned quite well to win this election cycle. Clinton will win the popular vote by more than a million votes. Democratic senate candidates obliterated the GOP nationally. While this is small…
His show is wildly successful, he will be back
there is a difference between reading sources that you agree with to validate your opinion and encouraging you to articulate your opinions in different ways, and putting on ideological blinders and refusing to look around at the larger social structure around you.
Focus on outcomes. People will see what is happening locally. Where are the promised manufacturing job? ISIS continues to exist? Inflation on the rise? Individual liberties rolled back? All on the President that promised he alone could fix the problems.
So what? Satire is not designed to change anything. If it exists to provide an outlet for like minded people to be entertained so what. The issue becomes when people watch and assume that everyone else is like minded. Its what the left has accused the right for doing for decades with Fox News. Please watch, please…
Oh, and the consumer protection agency is about to be the first casualty of the Trump presidency. I am all for progressives in the gains that we made over the past eight years, unfortunately every single bit of it is about to be undone, rolled back, or outright destroyed.
Democrats need to understand why that happened and how to prevent it in the future.
Remind the people of Wisconsin about the right to organize. Remind people in the south what a great job the Democrats did protecting the voting rights act. The point is voters had a choice between a competent candidate and a racist, sexist, hateful little man. And they chose the latter, Democrats need to look at why…
Considering the Democrats lost the White House, the Senate, and made no significant gains in the house, It’s somewhat hard to argue it was a good campaign
I say Brazille because she is in power now. The democratic establishment took this election for granted, did not run a primary that properly vetted Clinton as a national candidate, and that goes back to Shultz. The Democratic Party needs to do more than say they are progressive and stand for the working class, they…
No. I understand the political system in this country quite well. I have worked in it. Planned and won elections... Lost a few elections too. And an unavoidable truth is “perception is reality”. Clinton was perceived as corrupt. People were predisposed to believing it. Was much of what was said against Clinton…
Turn out was down from 2012. If the same people show up to vote this year Clinton is president
That and a quarterthat and a quarter will get you a cuppa coffee . The party needs to realize the realities of the electoral system as it stands right now, that’s why the Democrats lost this election. Enough kowtowing to corporate interests and get back to progressive roots
How about taking out their anger on a party establishment that completely screwed the selection up from the start.
Clinton was a flawed candidate from the start. If any other democrat had run against her, game over. Wiki leaks showed us they were terrified of a Biden run. I voted for her, but she was hard be my first choice. The Sanders campaign should have told them this was not a normal election and they should not run it as…
So finally today I was able to find some hope. In a story about a junior staffer standing up at a meeting and calling our Donna Brazille on her role in losing the election. If This election wakes up democrats, shakes loose the last vestages of the old Clinton coalition and makes way for a new generation of…
