GenX had their time, being that you (and I) were born at the end of the 70s, we don’t really fit with GenX, nor do we fit with the Millennials, so we just deal with being the in-betweeners. We quietly enjoy the fruits of both generations. We understood Nirvana and also know how social media works.

Oh you should have seen some of the versions of those ads that they had for the Colorado. One even played during the 2015 Super Bowl. They were so awful Chevy stopped airing them and even removed them from their YouTube. I’m still trying to find a copy, but I did find a transcript of the lines from the ad:

I’m trying to figure if you’re being facetious or not, because it’s absurd that a 10c/gal tax would ever have a meaningful impact on global warming, but a bunch of profoundly unintelligent people think it will.

How would that happen, anyway? By adding $.10 per $7 gallon? Global warming can’t be nickeled and dimed into submission. We need a state change in technology if it’s what they say it is. I just want to remind all you DIY folks that this is the beginning of the end for junkyards. No more scavenging for used parts. Eventually all these cars will join used cell phones in their journey to Africa for e-waste recycling.

Actual winner of COTD:

This looks like the bastardized offspring of a MK4 Supra and a late 90's Mustang that resulted from a party thrown by the infamous Florida Man.

Every GM vehicle I have owned has been junk. I gave up on the brand some time ago. Recently car key ignitions failed on their cars. GM answer was that's the Old GM. Why not step up and actually fix the problem?  The workers were failed by their own bean counters.

Wow, scene from a funny movie with no political motive attached.  Go have a latte, chill out, come back when you’re not outraged by (admittedly) a derivative attempt at humor.

I’ve thought the same thing.

this. Nobody says “oh yeah, I had an ‘85 Cavalier, it was a great little car, I should buy another.”

and that’s why they’ve “Failed”. who would buy an impala when they could get something foreign for the same price or cheaper, with better interiors and more brand recognition! (not to mention not-ugly designs on the foreign side of things).
