This may seem pedantic, but the word “expertize” in the quote there just looked wrong to me. As it happens, it is wrong - it’s not synonymous with “expertise”, and nor is it an Americanisation of the word (it’s actually a verb: https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/expertize).
