1971 ? I distinctly remember having to unscrew cell lids and check water levels on my cars in the 80's. And they were cars built in the 80's.

I think the definition of what makes a sports car is inevitably too subjective to ever satisfy everyone. It’s like good art - I know it when I see it.  But individual opinions will vary. I will never think of pony cars as “real” sports cars. I will agree to disagree with those who think they are.

I really wish people would stop using revenue numbers, they are literally pointless unless you know the costs. And for most industries most of that is costs (or in the case of Uber and Moviepass more than all over it).

You realize that it wasn’t that long ago that “performance” oriented cars would get around 8s on their 0-60, right?

The only reason I can think of is for stability, so the camera footage doesn’t have that walking shake to it.
