GTIs have been solid since the 2009 MK5 with the TSI motor. So find a new VW joke and we’ll actually laugh.

Low hanging fruit.... from 10 years ago.

CEL every other week? Are they still making the MKIV? The MKVII is rock solid so far, mine’s only had one CEL thrown in the 3 years we’ve had it, and that was after it was hit, so no fault of the car itself.

Going a little fast there, buddy. Where’s the fire? *Points back at police officer’s car.

Ok.......*sigh*

Look, I get people being disappointed. I can even understand, to a certain extent, people being angry. No one was expecting, nor did anyone ask for, a Diablo mobile game. I think Blizzard is at times a little full of itself...high on their own supply, if you will. I don’t think they’re “out of touch”,

Isn’t it funny how they make rules like 2 hour parking, in order to make us criminals if we don’t pay money to fund them?

Only that if you take the whole “Hitler’s Summer Lodge” aspect away of Obersalzberg, it’s just an unremarkable hut somewhere in the Alps. The VW Käfer was a remarkable and iconic car. There is historic value to restoring the oldest one of its kind beyond “Car made by Hitler”.

Amazing. Every word of what you just said was wrong.

Hitler’s home and an old VW that belonged to a composer. Yeah, those two are almost exactly the same thing.

I put no effort into my rebuttal.

Or we could just look at it as what it is, the restoration of a historic piece of automotive history.

912

I’m sure that several of the parts were just off the shelf Porsche 911 items. (911s are just fast Beetles.)

The real question is are the window regulators shared?? If so supra owners are going to need to budget for replacing all of the window regulators every couple of years.

“Entirety” is also a very defined number, no?

Its just the frame.

Counter-counterpoint, the Fiero was pretty awesome.

LS with an aftermarket holley FI system would have been 70# lighter and most likely have fit under the stock hood.

Yeah, sounds like a huge overreaction on the part of the police. There’s no reason to treat a car parked illegally at an airport any differently from a car parked illegally on any slightly busy urban street. You can’t bring down airplane with a car bomb, and if you just want to kill a bunch of people there are plenty
