I think it’s weird that people don’t see “financing” as being the same as “spending”.

I get it, I’d prefer a dipstick in addition to the sensor, too. It’s probably in a risk equation somewhere, comparing the chance of sensor failure versus the potential cost, multiplied by the probability of an owner actually using the dipstick while not noticing an oil puddle under their car, etc.

Once upon a time, gas tanks had dipsticks. I suspect the process is similar.

I never said a child can’t possibly be right about science and I never said that she wants to be famous. She never told my stupid ass anything as she doesn’t know me and I don’t know her. A teenager is highly unlikely to be knowledgable about the science here and only correct by accident. A teenagers opinion on the

Doesn’t the UAW own a substantial portion of GM, now?

My argument is that we shouldn’t be giving credence to children just because of the novelty that they are children because they are not likely to be right except by accident about the science. Her lack of taking credit for “the science” does nothing to deny that she is promoting an opinion.

What’s my shitty argument? I see no evidence that she has any understanding of the science beyond having been told the conclusions. Few people do.

Getting tetchy with companies that legally pay low tax rates is misplaced outrage. In almost all cases these companies are complying with tax law. The methods they use to legally avoid higher tax rates have been understood for a long time now and your political heroes have been disinclined to do anything about it.

Rods from God, maybe?

I think maybe it’s not that we expect kids to be adults, it’s that we are wondering why adults are giving their uniformed opinions so much credibility.

It’s pretty easy to get pissed off about something that seems to affect you, you don’t understand and feel helpless about.

The very definition of an unhinged smile.

Two things. One, Iran is not right to be oppressive and mistreating these people is a horrible wrong. Two, these bloggers should have understood that they were going to a place where their seemingly reasonable action (many seemingly reasonable actions) can lead to horrible consequences.

So signs thanking drivers for choosing Uber’s platform is what it would take to change your mind.

Cab companies win in California.

There, fixed that for ya.

If everyone wants it, it should be no problem to get a constitutional amendment, then.
