The blast pattern definately looks like it came in at an angle from the woods, and buried itself in the asphalt before going off.

Sorry, looks to be either an artillery shell or a missile. Crater shape looks all wrong for a mine.

I sincerely hope he had a change of shorts and pants available!

Maybe he reinforced it?

Not sure that the Magnet manufacturing costs would be that much. Economies of scale kick in fairly quickly. And you may be able to drop the power costs substantially with the use of carbon fiber, foamed aluminimum and aerogels.

Ok, yeah... I guess we can give you THAT much...

Why? Burning at the stake is supposed to be torture. No gasoline for you... ETHANOL!!

Could use a system similar to Linear Induction Motors, where a central computer would know where each car is and only activate and energize those segments of the system where each car actually is. They already use this system in some of the maglev systems currently in use, so setting it up for a race track shouldn't

Not yet, but we were getting the lighter fluid...

What they KNOW is effiency and egronomics. Reducing teh unneeded labor of any sort of maintenance by logistical placement of supplies and tools, placement of connectors and components in the car for the fastest swap outs possible, being able to do a full diagnostic download and analysis as well as software updates in

By that time, much of the work done by humans, such as the battery pack change out, the replacement of the motors, maybe even the tire change, could be being done by machines, or a team augmented by robotic tools.

You know, I can see where the Tesla Battery company and the Tesla car Technology could easily overlap in the Hyperloop system. Just as pretty much all the technology developed by Elon's companies can overlap and get us to Mars.

I would not be suprised if Christian Koenigsegg comes up with a high end Supercar based upon the Tesla tech. Shouldn't be too hard as Tesla open sourced all their patents.

Actually, it takes more energy to split Hydrogen and Oxygen then the recombination of the two produce. It's what is refered to as an energy negative equation.

Maybe not right away, but assuming that the item having punctured the gas tank was metal and still dragging on the groung, it's likely sparks would have ignited the fuel spilling out, which would starttraveling back up the gas trail to a tank that is most likely far less than half full witha fairly high air fuel mix

You ain't kidding. Saw a video the other day of a pit crew doing the complete tire change, refuel in 4 seconds.

I think he works for GM...

I think that AARC may have just bit off WAY more than they can chew. Ford and GM may just decide to stomp them into the dirt once and for all.

I'm thinking a little 50's and a bit of old Buck Rodgers type motif.

I must admit, I wish I was able to afford the Beast.
