Mine was a 1990 Cavalier wagon and the only option was the 3 speed auto. When I got it in 1996 it had less than 10,000 miles on the odometer and my grandfather had never left the city since he purchased it. I put 100K miles on it in the next 4 years before a quick lube station didn’t fill it with oil and the engine

So why do you think 40 years from now nobody will be excited about a Niro?

Funny you say that because in the 80's wagons were boring mom-mobiles. I inherited my grandfather’s Cavalier wagon and oh, did my high school and college friends make fun of that car.

The problem (long term) is ZEV credits expire and have no value after 2025 and there a lot of them still out there. That likely means their value will fall as more manufacturers start unloading their credit balances. The data lags a bit - this is as of Aug 31, 2020.

“According to the ad, the builder picked up a 2004 Chinook Concourse Class B RV that shared an identical wheelbase to the ambulance chassis.”

Sounds like you haven’t heard of Class B+ RVs.

You have a whole lot better chance of having a car when you arrive if you booked direct with the rental company instead of through a 3rd party.

What is a radio station? Kidding of course but I haven’t listened to AM or FM radio while commuting in years.

The 6 new roundabouts I mention above are all in rural areas (surrounded by farm fields). However, they are on major commuting routes and greatly reduced congestion at those intersections during morning and afternoon rush hour.   Picture 20,000 people trying to get from town to the interstate on a handful of 2 lane

I live in Oregon. Roundabouts aren’t the norm here as the just don’t fit in the older parts of cities but they are increasingly common for new road construction and in more rural areas. The county recently replaced 6 four-way stops with roundabouts.    The main road by me is getting widened and a roundabout added at

I think something most people miss in the discussion is the Honda and Toyota don’t need to sell EVs today. They are both focused on hybrid and PHEVs to meet government regulation like the EU’s 95 g/km CO2 fleet average. Both companies hit the EU target without selling large numbers of EVs to offset gas-guzzlers.

The EU is targeting the goal. They are using fleet fuel economy targets to reduce CO2 emissions. 2021 was 95 g/km, 2025 is 78 g/km, and 60 g/km.

I can’t think of another person I know that knows the Vegas Loop exists.

Yes. We had a contract engineer 5 years back like that. In our very first conversation he busted out “Do you know that Obama is setting up FEMA concentration camps to house the patriots after he declares martial law?”. He was a completely sane and normal individual outside of politics.

It is crazy that people will believe a conspiracy theory that requires thousands or tens of thousands of people to work together secretly than the very plain and obvious explanation.

I have a “vehicle expenses” spreadsheet.

We can agree that the CEO of a company should not be tweeting about an active investigating involving on one of the company’s product.

The original tweet didn’t say lines are required. Musk added that to Ahmad’s list of 3 safeguards. Ahmad said:
