In response to that tweet Musk said:

Exactly right. I’ll add that they really didn’t care about the Obama era rules because the EU’s rules are MUCH harder to meet with much bigger fines for missing them. They had to spend money on fuel economy technology anyway the only real question was home much of it to use for vehicles in sold the USA.

Did you read the article?   The California standards are weaker than the original EPA standard.

Read the tweet he responded to.   Ahmad says the seat is weighted to make sure there is a driver.    That statement is wrong but Musk said he is a better researcher than the Wall Street Journal.

Not now but that just recently changed.

Tesla also has more range because they allow owners to use more battery capacity. Most Teslas have about 98% of the battery usable while other manufacturers hold that back to about 90%. Audi started the e-tron with 88% usable battery capacity and recently bumped that to 90.5%.

More likely keeping the owner of a $80 - $100K vehicle happy so they keep buying expensive Chevy vehicles.

Straight from the lips of a Tesla owner.

It is the best for the performance and battery tech that allows him to drive an EV for almost all his driving. It is the worse because of the build

The protester was arrested and the video pulled off Chinese social media. Sounds pretty typical to me.

I have a 2014 Jetta Sportwagen TDI. It is my 2nd diesel Jetta wagon and it will be my last.

Eliminating the chicken tax won’t bring more small trucks to the USA. At least not if by small you are thinking 80's and 90's compact truck small.

What foreign trucks are Ford, Ram, and GM being protected from? Toyota, Honda, Nissan, and now Hyundai have entered the US truck market and generally all but the Tacoma have failed to find a wide audience.

How about we drop the US steel and aluminum tariffs that kicked off this whole fiasco instead?

There are often very small differences between what looks aerodynamic and reality.

True but that isn’t the normal scenario for this. Most people putting zero down so they are underwater for years aren’t sitting on a pile of cash.
